CopyClip - Clipboard History App Reviews

I think it was working properly when I first downloaded it (I only tried it for a very short period of time when I first got it) but now it doesnt paste in any text. As the title states, it is still storing all of the text that I copy, but it doesn’t paste it when I click on the text or use the keyboard shortcuts. Maybe I’m missing a step, but it seems that this isn’t going to work for me. Hopefully they update it soon, as I do like the minimal interface.

I love this app! I, by a pretty wide margin, use this app more than any other. If you combine it with PopClips capability to highlight a word or phrase to immediately be prompted with the option to copy, you will use it every single time you are online. Great app!!!

Great tool that I’m sure has saved me hours up on hours of time.

If youre looking for a tool to replace Clyppan, this is not it. Interface is pleasant and minimal, icon is stylish and unobtrusive, but theres no global hotkey to access clipboard history, which limits its use quite a bit.

This app has an option to retain more clips than it displays, but no way to select those clips that aren’t displayed. Also, you cannot delete individual clips, and can only delete the entire clip history. If these two things changed, the app would be a 5 star.

This simple tool for mac makes my life so much easier. No more needing to copy and past different things over and over again. Just do it once and I can grab it over and over again.

For a long time I was using an app called Jumpcut, which does pretty much the same thing as CopyClip. Except Jumpcut was abandonded sometime in 2009. CopyClip is a perfect replacement!

Copying and Pasteing a lot of times just keeps a running account of the last ones you did, but what I really NEED is a “Favorites” section that remembers particular text that I use often that won’t get lost in the long line of the “Rescent” items I’ve copied. Please update it to include this and I’ll then LOVE IT, until then, it’s just useful only.

I love the CopyClip app! it’s a great time saver when you’re navigating multiple webpages, getting information from different spreadsheets, etc. It’s really a time saver and super easy to work. Another thing I love about it is that it’s ad free, not pushing me to buy anything else. A must have!!!

Couldn’t live without this app. Never crashes. Never any problems. Fantastic!

Downloaded this because I lost important information when copying and pasting. This has saved me a lot of work!

I think this has to be one of my favorite Applications to use on a day to day basis. It is just so simple and easy to use everyone should use it. It does exactly what the description states. Five stars all day!

For anyone who does research or writes, this is a godsend. I can´t count the times it has already saved my skin.

I has bothered me for years of software development that you could not have multiple clips in your clipboard. Copy Clip lets you copy several things from one application, and paste them into another app without going back and forth for each copy. I love you Copy Clip. :-)

I cannot even begin to guess how many exasperating hours of re-typing this would have saved me when I was completing my degree a few years ago. If you type many paragraphs and documents with creative original content - especially online, you cannot afford to have this app. No more sick feelings when you realize the discussion board or site you were typing your content on has timed out before you finished editing or submitting. Plus many other instances when you realize you would like to use the same content you have alread copied but after you copied something else. Invaluable stress and time reliever.

I use this app constantly throughout the day. Such a time saver! Excellent!!

Something that used to happen to me pretty often was, I’d type out some big old essay or social media post, I’d cut it with the intent of pasting it someplace else, but then, before I got around to doing that second part, I’d copy some other thing and lose all that text. Pretty embarrassing, in that “Man I’m dumb” kind of way. So when I found out this app existed, it was an instant essential. For whatever reason, that doesn’t happen anymore; but I do still occasionally copy something before having pasted the previous thing I copied, so this is still a mighty handy app!

This tool is amazingly helpful. If you type a few things consistently, you can even use it as a “stamp” of sorts. I highly recommend this for anyone who uses a keyboard.

I’d be lost without this must-have app! The only app that I use many times a day. I wish this was available for my iPad!!!

It does the job and it does it well. Love the shortcuts.
