CopyClip - Clipboard History App Reviews

Eh..

The app is a great idea and exactly what I wanted. However, buggy non-functioning programming. The idea of shortcutting each step of clipboard history is nice, but it doesn’t work at all. Plus, you would be required to run two shortcuts to paste in a new line (Command + 4, then Command + V). In the end, it still saves time, but a few improvements would make this a great app.

I really like this app, and the people that made it.

One of my coworners turned me onto CopyClip a few weeks ago, and I instantly fell in love with it. Having a cache of everything I’ve copied is a feature that I’m surprised isn’t a part of the OS already. That being said, I haven’t experienced any sort of lag after I’ve started using the App (atleast none that I can attribute to CopyClip), and I’ve got a macbook air with 2GB of RAM, so it would be pretty noticable. The only complaint I had was that when my menu bar is in dark mode (ie. all the time) I couldn’t find the icon. That being said, after a quick email to their support, they quickly instructed me on how to change that icon so that I can find the icon. I’m very impressed with these guys, mostly because other developers that I get in contact with over similar problems just say that I’m out of luck. Again to restate, Flip Lab, has earned an almost lifetime customer out of me.

Super simple and just plain works

I had seen this app months ago after going through FlipLabs products and sort of ignored it. Recently I had to do a lot of copy/paste work and would find myself constantly limited and using Notepad to keep my most common text copies. Although it works, it was a slow process. I finally decided to install CopyClip and streamlined the process for the project and now cannot live without it. It works, its free, and will make you life easier.

Version 2 is excellent

A marked improvement in features and usability over the first version - really nicely done!

Needs improvement.

Its not the best, its ok. Its really buggy, especially on OS X Yosemite (10.10). In the right hands of better developers it would be a great product.

Invaluable Tool

I love CopyClip. Having recent copies at your fingertips will increase your workflow and make you more effecient. I didn’t have it on some of my computers and I really missed it. Thank you for a useful product!

worthless

doens’t seem to work with Pages

Thanks so much!!

This app is amazing—especially when you are copying multiple items of content and often get interrupted by other people asking for you to resend them something. Great tool for multitaskers!

Saved my Butt

This is great, it is a life saver if you inadvertantly click Control+C forgetting what you were saving on the Clipboard. Works invisably in the background. Have not noticed any slowing down or glitches. IF you even use your Clipboard, you should have this

Useless

Doesn’t paste clips, no matter the method used. Totally useless POS.

CopyClip works great and is easy to use

Perfect integration with OS(10.10.3) and it is very stable. I run it at startup with no problems. The Preferences give you the option to copy and show as many clips as you need, and you can restrict any app you like from going to CopyClip. This is one of my favorite addons.

Great little app.

It does what it is supposed to do. A great app, the only thing I wish for is to choose which clips to delete. Keep up the great work your doing!

Does exactly what you want

This app provides clipboard history to all the apps which don’t support it themselves. Does exactly what I need. Recommended.

Was Good Until… It stopped working

The developer stopped supporting it. It doens’t work properly in Yosemite as it’s impossible to see at night. It also doesn’t work at all in El Capitan.

Love this app

I love this little app. It’s so handy, and I can’t really function without it now. I think what would make it better is if you could have the option to keep formatting even when you toggle away from something in your clipboard. No complaints, though! Not super necessary.

It doesn’t have hotkeys!!!

I’ve never heard of clipboard manager without hotkeys to iterate through the copies to paste. What’s the use of a clipboard manager without hotkeys????

I use this EVERY DAY.

There may be others (I don’t know), but I use this absolutely every day. Cmd + C…aw, shoot! I overwrote the password on the clipboard…no I didn’t, thanks to CopyClip. And THANK YOU for the dark-menu-bar-friendly icon!

Thank you, app just works and saves time

Thank you, app just works and saves so much time having to go back and remember the link you copied to clip board. Much appreciated :)

Buggy, poorly documented

More difficult to use than it could be. The free version isn’t good enough to persuade me to upgrade. Documentation hasn’t be updated to match the UI or functionality. You’ll also be getting tons of popup ads in your future.

I can finally rate this ★★★★★ !

I have been using this since the first day I got a Mac and my only problem with it had been the Dark Mode icon. I’m so happy you brougth us a Dark Mode icon. Thank you!
